Rich Kohler is on a mission.

Mr. Kohler is a dynamic and entertaining speaker and presenter who has created and presented award-winning child safety programs world-wide since 1997.

At sixteen years old, a determined, street educated, but shy Richard Kohler, walked into his first karate school searching for some strength.  Not the outer strength, but inner strength.  For the next seven years he worked hard and sacrificed much to achieve the coveted Black Belt Rank and then began teaching others.  It was at this time he realized the gratification of helping others, especially the children, who many times showed him a lot of himself.  He knew the incredible value of their training.

At twenty-seven years old he became a father to his son, Jesse.  At two years old, Jesse was nearly taken from him by a custodial abduction.  The next week of his life would become the most difficult.  He hid out in hotels, dodged would-be kidnappers and dealt with the many threats in order to keep his son safe.  Mr. Kohler was awarded custody of his son shortly after.

The mission began.

The terrible pain of losing, or almost losing a child became Rich Kohler's passion to help educate children to recognize and become safe from child predators.  He used his natural tendency to be creative, by using fantasy adventure as the vehicle, combined that with effective teaching methods and twelve years of experience teaching children and created The Journey of the Steal-Proof Master program.  After a year of presenting the program to schools, churches and other children's organizations, he decided to produce a movie version.  The Journey of the Steal-Proof Master movie would take the honor of a Silver Telly Award in children's education.

Over 800 martial arts schools and organizations are currently presenting the program to children in six different countries.

Mr. Kohler is considered one of the leading experts on child abduction safety and bully avoidance in the State of Connecticut.  His methods and unique teaching style are very popular among the many public and private organizations he has presented to.  His presentations and seminars have received glowing recommendations from parents, teachers, police officers and child psychologists alike.

He currently owns and teaches at his full-time martial arts school, is president of Adventures in safety LLC (a child safety program creation company) and is the Program Coordinator for the new WIN! Real Life Skills for Kids Program, co-created with Moni Aizik, Founder & Chief Instructor of the world-renowned Commando Krav Maga (CKM) program.

Mr. Kohler lives with his wife, son, and two daughters in Connecticut.
